The Arboretum at UC Santa Cruz  -- by far the single greatest source of new plant introductions to the California nursery industry and gardening scene for the last twenty years. They have the largest and best collection of Australian plants outside of Australia (and what would be one of the best inside Australia as well).  We are proud to offer a large number of their introductions. Also check out their Edward D. Landels New Zealand Garden, their excellent collection of Proteaceae and other plants from South Africa, their California native plant display, and their very interesting and important collection of early Angiosperms. Besides being one of the most spectacular assemblages of flowering plants, these collections together tell the interesting story of plant evolution as influenced by plate tectonics.

Our subsidiary, Blue Pacific Greenhouses, is a separate company which raises top quality floral and gift line products such as mums, poinsettias, lilies, hydrangeas, and a number of new introductions. They serve customers in California and other states.

The Society for Pacific Coast Native Iris has a web page worth checking out.

The  Australian National Botanic Gardens  is an excellent resource for information on Australian plants and their culture. As might be expected, they probably have the most extensive collection of Australian plants in the world.

The Society for Growing Australian Plants  is another great resource for lovers of Australian plants. If you are looking for in-depth discussion of specific varieties, or detailed cultural/biogeographical information, be sure to check here.

Ferns of the Canberra Region is a nice look at a number of Australian ferns. This site is obviously the result of time and dedication by a couple of people who just really like ferns. Also, check out the imaging links there if you have any interest in digital imaging.

Air Flight Services of Santa Clara is an aerial photo mapping and surveying firm which kindly provided the mind blowing photograph of Monterey Bay from 18,000' MSL that we used on the cover of our last catalogue. [Interestingly, this photo was taken the day after the strongest storm of what turned out to be the strongest El Niņo event on record. The extent of flooding and freshwater intrusion into the Bay can clearly be seen.] In addition to their basic mapping images used in farming and real estate, their RC 10 camera (used by military photoreconnaissance aircraft such as the U2) uses a 9" x 9" film plate that renders the equivalent perspective of a 20mm lens. It can also be used to take unbelievable pictures from more "human" vantage points. One especially good one is an up-close and personal infrared view of the Golden Gate Bridge that is begging to be used as as signature image by somebody. Inquire there for more info.

Web Page Design for Designers -- just a great overview of some medium level to relatively advanced topics, especially imaging. Great Web design, links, useful Java, and more. A superior site!!

Squeeze Your Graphics -- a really useful list of compression utilities. From one of the same people responsible for the excellent Ferns of the Canberra Region.

The Gardening Launch Pad is an exhaustive list of gardening and plant related links arranged by category. Lots of very nice links here. I have only investigated a few, but if you needed one place to go for plant links, this would be a good choice.

Customer Links -- Web resources of some of the people who buy from us.
